New regulations for conservation authorities could be coming into play next year, as the first phase in the provinces new guide to support conservation authorities has been released for public feedback.
The province has released a guide titled the Regulatory Proposal Consultation Guide: Regulations defining Core Mandate and Improving Governance, Oversight and Accountability of Conservation Authorities. As a part of this first phase for the guide, they have asked for feedback from agencies, municipalities, and anyone or any group who have feedback to give.
St. Clair Conservation Authority General Manager Brian McDougall outlined some of the feedback the province is looking for, as well as some of the items that are not covered in the document as of right now, but will be added in phase two.
