Rising three-piece
Regressive Left have shared their new single Take The Hit .
The band hail from Luton and Bedford, three friends who found each other once more in London.
Taking their cues from those early DFA Records 12 inches, we re also hearing some Mudd Club early 80s vibes in there, too.
New single Take The Hit opens with crunching analogue electronics reminiscent of the first New Order album, punctuated by Morse code guitar lines.
There s shades of the Orielles, even, while Regressive Left channel an openly political bent to their lyricism.
Say the band. âTake The Hitâ is about how neoliberalism acts as a shield for irresponsible politicians and greedy profiteers â as we try to disentangle the complex web of capitalism to find the spider at its heart, we end up instead blaming the countless flies that have been trapped along the way.
