Supervisory Polling Officer Abducted, Over 5,300 Result Sheets Lost In Boat Mishap In Bayelsa – INEC

A Supervisory Polling Officer (SPO) deployed for Saturday’s governorship election in Bayelsa State has been abducted while 5,368 result sheets were lost in a boat accident. The SPO was assigned to Registration Area- 06 (Ossioma) in the Sagbama Local Government Area of the state. He was abducted while waiting to board a boat at Amassoma Jetty, a statement issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Bayelsa State Office said.

BREAKING: INEC Staff Abducted In Bayelsa, Election Materials Lost To Boat Accident

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Bayelsa State has disclosed that its Supervisor Presiding Officer, SPO, has been abducted by unknown persons on the way to her duty post. The commission also said a boat conveying personnel and materials to Registration Area Centers, RACs, 17 Koluama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, capsized.
