SDG council convened on Thursday evening for a special meeting to discuss a series of proposed amendments to the Regional Incentive Program.
Launched in 2018, the program aims to stimulate investment in local tourism and agri-tourism initiatives, as well as encourage the redevelopment and investment in existing building stock within the counties.

The changes proposed which includes things like eligibility criteria, funding parameters of grant categories, and clarifications were brought to council in order to make the program work better according to SDG economic development manager Kara Kirkpatrick.
