New limited-edition Cuban cigar hits shops today Share Photo/Habanos S.A.
Cuba’s newest Regional Edition cigar is going on sale today in Mexico, and it’s a double-tapered Ramon Allones figurado. Known as the Tacos format in Cuban cigar factories, the Ramon Allones Perfecto Exclusivo México measures 6 1/4 inches by 47 ring gauge, the same size as the regular-production Partagás Presidente.
The Regional cigar comes in 10-count boxes and sells for 4,500 Mexican pesos (about $225) per box, which comes down to around $22.50 per smoke. It will officially debut at a launch party this evening held at Cigar Point, a whiskey bar and cigar lounge in Mexico City. Only 6,000 boxes are being produced.
