Airtel Networks Limited (Nigeria) has announced the appointment of Mr. C. Surendran as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer with effect from August 1, 2021.
In addition, Surendran has been appointed to the Executive Committee as Regional Operating Director, reporting to the CEO of Airtel Africa Plc, and onto the Board of Airtel Networks (Nigeria) Limited.
Ogunsanya will become Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Africa with effect from 1 October 1,2021, with a transition period from 1 August 2021.
Airtel Nigeria announced the replacement of Ogunsanya in a statement, recently.
According to the statement, Surendran has been with Bharti Airtel since 2003, and has contributed immensely in various roles across customer experience, sales and business operations. Surendran replaces Olusegun Ogunsanya. Ogunsanya has been appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Africa plc with effect from October 1, with a transition period from August 1, 2021.
