Around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, the Beaverlodge and Wembley Fire Departments were dispatched to a dirt bike accident in a forested area on the south side of Saskatoon Mountain.
Due to accessibility issues, additional resources for technical rescue and ATVs were dispatched from the County of Grande Prairie Regional Fire Service Clairmont and Dunes stations, Technical Search and Rescue, and STARS.
Firefighters accessed the patient on a slope below the Saskatoon Mountain lookout with ropes to provide immediate patient care. Additional resources made access with ATV’s and a rescue trailer from a staging location at Township 722 and Range Road 94.
