Election 2020: Compute results of 38,000 polling stations and declare actual results – VPA to EC

A group calling itself the Voter Protection Alliance (VPA) is asking the Electoral Commission (EC) to put aside all the various layers of collation and compute the results from the 38,000 polling stations to declare the actual results of the 2020 general elections.
The EC at a press conference last week declared President Akufo-Addo as President-elect of the general elections held on December 7, 2020.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the election is flawed and for that matter will not accept the Presidential result.

According to Jean Mensah, the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, the total number of valid votes cast at the election was 13,434,574, representing 79 per cent of the total registered voters. 4 min read
Observer groups from the Economic Community of West African States and the Commonwealth have given kudos to the Ghanaian government for its conduct of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
In preliminary reports released by the groups on Wednesday, the election was described as generally free, fair, transparent, and credible.
“The vast majority of the qualified population, who wished to do so, were provided the required space to exercise their constitutional rights to vote,” the ECOWAS stated in its report.
