First it was a station of the Cambridge Fire Department, then a division at Waterloo Regional Police, now a COVID-19 outbreak is impacting paramedics in the region.
On Wednesday, Region of Waterloo Public Health declared an outbreak at Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services’ North Division.
Three employees tested positive, and all cases have been linked to the workplace.
Two other cases were also detected, but the investigation by health officials has not yet identified an epidemiological link to the workplace setting.
