The project will cost approximately $140,000 and has been fully funded by DRC under Council’s Playground Improvement Fund and Asset Renewal Budget. Construction is scheduled to commence Monday 26 July 2021, weather permitting, and is expected to be completed within four weeks. Council staff have been working closely with the Farmers Markets Committee and other stakeholders to ensure the construction and the new location of the playground has a minimal impact on events.
Following the successful completion of the play space installation, Council will remove the existing playground equipment and carry out restoration of the site.

2022-2025 dubbo Regional council disability Inclusion Action plan on display
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) invites the community to provide feedback on the next Disability Inclusion Action Plan for the region. The 2022 – 2025 Disability Inclusion Action Plan will play a significant role in developing positive community attitudes towards people with disability. Other key objectives include creating a more liveable community for people with disability; providing equitable access to employment within Council for people with disability; and providing appropriate service information for people with disability.

10th DREAM FESTIVAL TO RETURN WITH POPULAR EVENTS AS HEADLINERS
After a little hiatus in 2020, DREAM Festival is returning to the Dubbo Region in 2021, with Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) engaged to work with the former volunteer-based committee to bring back some of the most popular events. Running from 14 – 24 October 2021, DREAM Festival is aimed at bringing some of the region’s most creative and talented producers together for 10 days of entertainment.
Manager Regional Events Kim Hague said DRC is committed to the continuation of the annual event, after the popularity of it meant that the volunteer committee wanted some further assistance to deliver DREAM.
