Joint drug investigation in Houma leads to three arrests
A joint narcotics investigation Friday led to the arrests of three Houma residents after police found a half-pound of methamphetamine, guns and other drugs.
Reginald Matthews, 45, Megan Pearson, 29, and Donny McKinley, 19, are each charged in the investigation, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
Working with State Police and Houma Police Department, narcotics agents from the Sheriff’s Office received information that Matthews was involved in a heroin-distribution operation, authorities said.
Agents obtained search warrants for two separate locations and carried out those searches Friday, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Assisted by a SWAT team, narcotics agents executed search warrants at 2874 Express Blvd. And 3601 Thomas Drive. Matthews was found and taken into custody. The search led agents to about a half-pound of meth, 2.5 ounces of heroin, several morphine pills, a marijuana plant, a .40-caliber
