A man was shot and bundled into a car in front of terrified shoppers in a busy Stoke-on-Trent street.
It was a Saturday morning in October 1967. Minutes earlier, staff at Shenwood’s fashion store had been helping customers. It had been a normal shopping day in Campbell Road, Stoke.
