good evening. all across this country, families are gathering for graduation ceremonies under unpredictable skies. this wild weather we ve been living through all year. and tonight, we have pictures of one graduation, where out of the clear blue sky, a strange cloud appeared and not a tornado, but one packing powerful winds. while in other parts of the country, tornadoes, lightning and hail did rain down. here s abc s meteorologist ginger zee. reporter: ten tornadoes reported in the past 24 hours in wyoming and colorado. one ripping across the land for more than 20 miles. lightning striking just yards away. and imagine if this was your graduation day. announcers calling names at rapid speed. graduates throwing those caps in the air all in the face of the severe storm and low looming clouds. hundreds of panicked students raced for cover frantically searching for their families. pelted by one-inch hail, pummeled by fierce winds. surrounded by screams. this is what their field
