Two Charged In Connection To Two-Year-Old s Death

By Carol Thomson Jul 15, 2021 | 2:22 PM Two people are facing charges in connection to the death of a two year old girl (35 months) in Regina. The Regina Police Service reports that the toddler was seriously injured and transported to hospital on June 9th. Officers were told she had fallen down the stairs. She succumbed to her injuries four days later, on June 13th. The death investigation was carried out by the Regina Children’s Justice Centre, which includes police, social workers, medical and justice personnel, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. Twenty-six year old Brittney Burghardt is charged with 2nd degree murder, and 24 year old Justin Anderson is charged with accessory after the fact to murder. Both were charged with forcible confinement and both appeared in court this morning (Thurs).

Article content In a news release issued Thursday, Regina police said Brittney Catherine Emma Burghardt, 26, and Justin Noah Paul Anderson, 24, were arrested one day earlier.
