The high school student who heckled Cam Newton at the quarterback’s own 7-on-7 tournament apologized Monday after a video of the incident went viral on social media over the weekend.

Taking to the field at their own 44-yard line, Winston lined up at wide receiver with running back Alvin Kamara at quarterback in a wildcat formation. The rest is pretty much history.
Yes, that’s a trick play with Kamara handing the ball off to Emmanuel Sanders before the latter handed it to Winston. The quarterback then threw a strike to a wide open Tre’Quan Smith for 56 yards and the go-ahead touchdown.
