A Dhaka court today framed charges against Regent Group Chairman Mohammad Shahed and its Managing Director Masud Parvez in a case filed over possessing Tk 1.145 lakh in fake notes in July this year.
Shahed and Masud, now in jail, pleaded not guilty and demanded justice after Judge Md Rabiul Alam of the Third Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge s Court of Dhaka read the charges to them.
The judge set March 15 for starting trial of the case.
On November 3 last year, Mohammad Zakir Hossain, a sub-inspector of Rab-1 and also the investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate s Court of Dhaka, showing 13 people as prosecution witnesses.
