HOUSING bosses have new plans to deal with flooding that has stopped new properties being built in Glasgow s East End. Ground water flooding has been a long running issue in Wellhouse, stalling the development of a new housing scheme in the area. Now Wellhouse Housing Associations’ (WHA) said plans to bring new housing to the area have taken an important step forward. WHA chairman, Darron Brown, said he is focused on ensuring essential work happens as quickly as possible. He said: “We hope the necessary work can be carried out quickly to support our vision of utilising these brownfield sites to provide much-needed affordable community housing as well as facilities for this area, which has high levels of deprivation.
