CLEMSON, S.C. - Valerie Cagle launched her 14th home run of the year, but the No. 6/6 Florida State Seminoles capitalized on nearly every opportunity to down the Tigers in both games of Thursday’s doubleheader, 7-0, 4-1. The wins move the Seminoles to 31-7 (10-1 ACC), while the No. 4/4 Tigers now sit at 37-3 (12-2 ACC). Game 1 - L, 0-7 Florida State’s Michaela Edenfield went 2-for-3 with a double, home run and five RBIs to lead the No. 6 Florida State Seminoles to a 7-0 victory over fourth-ranked Clemson. Clemson made three costly errors that the Seminoles were able to capitalize on to help secure the win. Valerie Cagle broke up the FSU no-hitter in the bottom of the fourth with an infield single. Pinch-runner Julia Bomhardt stole second, but the Seminoles got out of it following a pitching change. In the top of the fifth, Florida State plated three runs on two hits to break the scoreless tie, then used a three-run homer in the top of the sixth to extend the lead to 7-0. Cagle
