Regal Cinemas to reopen most Sacramento-area theaters after months of COVID closures

May 6 Regal Cinemas this month will reopen most of its Sacramento-area theaters that have been closed for the past year due to coronavirus restrictions, the company announced.
Regal s El Dorado, Natomas Marketplace and United Artist Laguna Village theaters will reopen Friday, joining the Delta Shores & IMAX location, which resumed showings in late April, according to the Regal website.
Regal Auburn will reopen a week later on May 14. Regal Davis, Regal Placerville and Regal UA Olympus Pointe in Roseville are all set to reopen May 21.

Quality will be the focus, owner Allison Lo said. The restaurant’s signature dish is Pho Bo with filet mignon. It’s a beef rice-noodle soup with onions, scallions, cilantro, bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño.
Other menu items include charbroiled meat over rice or noodles, clay pot dishes and banh mi sandwiches; appetizers like spring rolls, guo bao buns and fried potstickers; and several soup and vegetarian options.
To begin, hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Davis Varsity Theatre will reopen on April 30, owner Sinisa Novakovic said. The independent movie house will open three weeks earlier than the two Regal cinemas in Davis, which are set for May 21.
