Giarratana pays $12M for site set for tower

Courtesy of Giarratana LLC A groundbreaking looms for a downtown mixed-use tower planned for Church Street following Nashville-based Giarratana LLC having paid $12 million for the site. To be called Prime (previously known as 801 Church), the 38-story tower from Nashville-based Giarratana LLC will have 350 residential units and two retail spaces (one each at Parks and Church and at Ninth and Church, respectively), according to a document. The address is 801 Church St., at the intersection with Rosa Parks Boulevard and with Nashville Yards unfolding nearby. Chicago-based Speedwagon Properties was the seller of the three-parcel property. It paid $13.75 million for the unimproved site, which covers 0.43 acres, in June 2018 in a deal that also included property at 814 Church St., home to the art deco Mastrapasqua Building.
