Four companies and two individuals were yesterday recognised at the seventh edition of The Daily Star ICT Awards for their outstanding contributions to taking the sector forward.

She championed the cause of women entrepreneurship and contributed hugely to the growth of women in business in Bangladesh by setting a shining example herself, Beximco said in a statement.
Luna, wife of AKM Shamsuddoha, a close friend of Beximco Group, and mother of Reem Shamsuddoha, director of Bangladesh Export Import Co Ltd and Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd, died in hospital care in Singapore on Wednesday. She was 66.
Luna Shamsuddoha was the chairman of Dohatec New Media Ltd, a leading IT company in Bangladesh.

Clutterbuck also is chair of Paragon Banking Group PLC and of Nordic financial services group Sampo.
Bowleven PLC - Africa-focused oil and gas exploration - Promotes Non-Executive Director Jack Arnoff to chair, effective immediately. Arnoff joined the Bowleven board back in November. Company said Arnoff takes over as it targets a final investment decision at its Etinde project in Cameroon during 2021.
