Two of his friends, Jordan Servat and Reed Boudreax, were rescued from the water and are at home recovering, according to a spokesperson at Nicholls University. The sheriff s office said in a Facebook post that the beaches were marked with red flags, signaling high surf and strong rip currents at the time of the incident. A spokesperson for Nicholls State confirmed that the three men grew up together in Thibodaux and went to high school together.
