The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team was directed to investigate the shooting following the August 2018 incident, and released their findings Wednesday, nearly three years later.

The agency said Calgary Police Service officers were called to a city gym around 10 p.m. Aug. 30, 2018, for reports a man had been in a fight at the gym and was kicked out, at which point he drove his car around the parking lot until police arrived.
