The EDSA Bus Carousel may not bring back its free ride services anytime this year, with the government possibly just providing discounts to passengers and subsidy to riders.
Motorists must avoid portions of C-5 Road and EDSA, which will undergo road repairs this weekend, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said yesterday.
The government no longer plans to extend the free rides on the EDSA busway that serves nearly 400,000 commuters daily, as the Department of Transportation is eyeing to complete the privatization of the P551-million infrastructure in 2023, DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista announced yesterday.
