Redis Offers Cloud Database Through AWS Marketplace, Supports Google Anthos GKE

Redis Labs, developer of the popular Redis Enterprise database, is taking its strategic alliances with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud to the next level with announcements that make it easier to build and operate Redis-based applications in cloud environments.
Redis Labs is now offering its Redis Enterprise Cloud fully managed cloud Database-as-a-Service through the AWS online marketplace, the company announced at its RedisConf2021 event. Redis Labs also announced private preview availability of Redis Enterprise on Anthos with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

SoftBank Group Corp’s Vision Fund 2 and private equity firm Tiger Global Management have invested in Redis Labs, a real-time cloud analytics platform provider, in a late-stage funding round valuing the firm at over $2 billion.
Existing investor TCV also participated in the round which raised $110 million, bringing the net amount so far to $347 million, the company said on Wednesday.

Open-source database software developer Redis Labs has raised $110 million in Series G Financing, the company said Wednesday, pushing its valuation over the $2 billion threshold.
The company will use the new funding to continue development of its real-time data platform, based on its popular in-memory database, as well as expand the company’s global footprint and boost customer support.
The additional financing brings Redis Labs total financing to $347 million, according to the Mountain View, Calif.-based big data company.
