Seminarians and professors, religious brothers and sisters from different congregations, postulants and members of the Redemptorist Youth Ministry gathered for a seminar on The Mission and Evangelization of the Church at St Alfonsus Theologate in Vietnam s Ho Chi Minh City.
The April 24 seminar aimed to rediscover and inspire the evangelizing spirit among young religious brothers and sisters. The main speakers were Father Joseph Do Quang Khang, a professor at the Major Seminary of St. Joseph Saigon, and Father Joseph Tran Si Tin, a Redemptorist missionary who has worked with the Jrai people for more than 50 years.

Archbishop Peter Machado of Bangalore on January 17 urged young Catholics to assume leadership roles in society.
The prelate wants the youth to give their best to society by entering politics, bureaucracy, various government sectors and other organizations.
The archbishop was addressing some 50 young women and men from the Cathedral deanery comprising 13 parishes.
The Leadership Enhancement and Attitude Development (LEAD) program was organized by Yuva Chethana (Youth Consciousness), the Bangalore Archdiocesan Youth Commission, at Palana Bhavan (Pastoral Centre).
Salesian Father Anil D’Sa, the youth director of the Archdiocese, his assistant Father Sampath, and Father Sandeep, director of Redemptorist Youth Ministry, were present for the program.
