The Redeemed Christian Church of God risks eviction from a property occupied by the Grace and Glory Parish of the Redeemed Church located at 67, Willington Bassey Way, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State due to alleged refusal of the church to pay three years arrears of rent.
This is also in addition to an outstanding amount for the property which the church indicated interest to purchase in 2015.

The Lagos State and Ogun State governments have rebuffed pressures from churches to relax restrictions introduced to curb the spread of COVID-19 infections so they could hold crossover vigils today to usher in the New Year.
The two states, with a high concentration of headquarters of churches in the country, insisted that the 12am-4am curfew introduced by the federal government, as part of measures to combat COVID-19 remains in place. They warned that dire consequences await individuals and groups that violate the regulations.

Security expert, Dr Ona Ekhomu, has called on Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State, to take his place as the Chief Security Officer of the state, by personally leading the rescue operation of the 333 students that were abducted last Friday, at the Government Science Secondary School, GSSS in Kankara Local Government Area of the state, by insurgents.
He reminded that every day that passed, sealed the fate of the abducted students.
Describing the kidnap as a well-planned operation, Ekhomu, in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Tope Adesuyi, accused the Katsina State government and the school authorities of negligence, over failure to conduct risk assessments that would have enabled them to predict the attack on the school.
