Redditch Library to become rapid Covid-19 test site

REDDITCH Library will take over as the new location for rapid Covid testing from next week. It will open on Tuesday, May 4, and the last day of testing at the current site, Redditch Town Hall, will be on Friday, April 30. Residents living in and around the Redditch area, over the age of 18, will be able to access a free rapid test at Redditch Library, 15 Market Place, between 9.30 am and 4.20 pm, Monday to Saturday. The opening hours on the first day that testing is available, Tuesday, May 4, will be 12:30am to 16:20pm. Hannah Perrott, Assistant Director for Communities, said: “Libraries offer a convenient location for local people to get a free rapid flow tests and we are delighted that Redditch Library is being added as a test site to further support our local community.”

Malvern Library set to become Rapid Covid Testing site

MALVERN Library is set to become the latest Rapid Covid Testing site to be opened in Worcestershire. People living or working in the Malvern Hills area who don’t have any symptoms, will be able to book a free rapid Covid test, at Malvern Library, Graham Road, Malvern WR14 2HU between 10.30am and 4.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and between 10.30am and 3.30pm on Saturday. Testing will be available for people with no symptoms aged 18 and over at Malvern Library from Friday March 12. The aim of this testing is to help drive down transmission. One in three people who are infected with Covid-19 have no symptoms, so could be spreading the disease without knowing it.

The lateral flow tests THERE are now more places for people without symptoms to get a free, rapid Covid-19 test in Worcestershire. Lateral flow testing, in partnership with the Department of Health and Social Care, will be available to residents at Pershore Leisure Centre and Redditch Town Hall, to help drive down transmission rates. It is believed around one in three people with Covid-19 will have no symptoms. Testing will be available for people with no symptoms aged 18 and over, at Pershore Leisure Centre from Saturday, January 30 and at Redditch Town Hall from Tuesday, February 2.
