President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday claimed that “dilawans” were tying up with two groups, including the communists, possibly to disrupt the upcoming national and local elections.
In a statement, 1Sambayan said the red-tagging of the Robredo-Pangilinan campaign and their supporters puts them “in the crosshairs of the Duterte administration’s indiscriminate and bloody counterinsurgency program.”
The Department of the Interior and Local Government on Monday said the police officers who arrested health worker Dr. Natividad Castro were just doing their job, even as the Commission on Human Rights has started investigating possible violations of police procedure.
