i m a red state america guy. you know i can tell by how you look. [ laughter ] you re killing me. sorry. i m calling jace. good luck with him. at the end of your show, you actually pray at the table and it has resonated in a country. why? well, and that s what, from the start when we sat down and said this will be a great way to end the show and we thought it would pull back at the end of the show would show no matter what happens, you can get over this. if something happens at work, we get to the dinner table just like we were as little kids, we would show up and phil would tell stories, selling a million duck calls and listen to the stories and became good story tellers and entertainers and as the table grew, it was a great place to bring it back together. to us, sean, it was a simple thing. saying a prayer before a meal didn t seem like, not like holey
bandanna. this is my fancy look, new york you lost weight, too. tv puts a little weight on you. i got 40 pounds of weight that doesn t exist, so. here is the amazing thing about your show. a&e starts this thing and you get the biggest cable numbers ever, and they didn t expect it, did they? well, they were hoping. but your wife said they thought america might laugh at you and then america laughed with you and supported you and identified with you. i don t think anybody knows, i don t think anybody knows. if you saw a picture of you, you would say no way i identify with this guy, right? that s not true. most men when they see you, the show came in and whoa. i grew up in new york but i feel like i have southern values, middle america values. i m not a big city, washington l.a. guy. i m a red state america guy.
