A group of people are trying to prevent the Red Shanked Douc LAngurs extinction by building bridges over trees to allow them to reach the only fruits they eat, crossing the construction sites.
Located 10 km from Da Nang city’s centre to the northeast, Son Tra Peninsula is considered the old eco-jungle within the young city. It is the nature reserve in rich diversity, protected under the nationally prohibited forest regime with many rare wild animals, especially pygathrix (red-shanked douc) which is listed on the IUCN Red List of endangered species.

Cable news network CNN has recently listed Son Tra Natural Reserve among the top 10 marvelous destinations in Vietnam in 2021.
Ranking at the seventh position among ten recommended destinations for travelers by CNN, Son Tra peninsular in Da Nang City in the central coast of Vietnam is a wonderful should-not-be-missed when travel to Vietnam after the Covid-19 pandemic.
