The Red River Valley Writing Project at North Dakota State University has more than $2,500 in cash prices available for teenagers this year in the nation's most prestigious art and writing competition.

North Dakota State University and the Red River Valley Writing Project will hold a creative writing camp for students entering grades 7-12 July 26-30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., that will be offered both in person at NDSU in Fargo and online for students from across the state. Seniors who have graduated this spring may also participate. The daily sessions include instruction on fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, screenwriting, song writing and cartooning by professional writers and educators.
The fee is $200 in person, which includes daily snacks and lunch, and $1500 for virtual participants. Both costs include all materials, a camp T-shirt, and prize drawings.

Austen Lund of Fargo was recently named to the President’s list at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, S.D. The President’s List is limited to full-time students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0.
Claire Johnson of Fargo was named to the fall 2020 Dean’s List at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Students must have a minimum semester GPA of 3.70 with at least 12 credits. In addition,

Samuel Stein, both of Moorhead, were named to the list.
Edward Conmy of Fargo earned placement on the fall Dean’s List at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.84 grade-point average to be listed.
