PONCA CITY, OK – Just under the surface of Oklahoma’s Salt Plains are selenite crystals usually formed in an hourglass shape. Members of the Wheeler Dealers Camping Club ventured out over the salt plains to find holes to dig for the crystals during the April campout hosted by members Lowry and Rebecca Blakeburn at the Salt Plains State Park located in western Oklahoma’s Red Carpet Country near Cherokee, OK. Members enjoyed camping at the Oklahoma State Park River Road camp ground.
