Taipei, Dec. 17 (CNA) A digital game distribution platform on late Wednesday retracted its earlier decision to list Taiwanese horror game Devotion (還願) in its store, following boycott threats from Chinese gamers due to previously discovered hidden content in the game that mocked Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平).
Polish-based GOG.com tweeted a statement saying that after receiving many messages from gamers, it will not be selling Devotion, which was originally set to go on sale on the platform starting Dec. 18. It did not disclose the content of the messages.
