GAINESVILLE, Fla. Rojé Stona stole the show on the first day of the Tom Jones Memorial Meet, setting a school record in the discus throw with an incredible mark of 64.98 meters. The personal-best not only sits atop the Clemson record book, but is the second-farthest throw in the NCAA this season and the 10th-best in the world. The two-time All-American was the national runner up in the discus in 2021. Already one of the most accomplished throwers in Clemson history, Stona shattered his previous PR of 61.94 meters by over three meters, well-surpassing the previous school record of 61.98 meters held by Jack Harkness. The junior out of Jamaica currently holds the best mark by an ACC athlete this season and projects to compete for a national title in the event again this June in Eugene, Ore. Elsewhere in Gainesville, Caroline Johnston continued her solid season on Friday, leaping a season-best 6.01 meters, just .01 meter shy of her PR. Her effort was good for third in the event. Camer
