The U.S. Navy delivered the first P-8A Poseidon aircraft to be modified with Increment 3 Block 2 capabilities to Boeing on March 27, enabling the fleet to be outfitted with the full anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface warfare (ASuW), and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities outlined in the P-8A program’s evolutionary acquisition strategy.

Omaha Trophy recognizes Minot AFB wings as best of the best | News, Sports, Jobs

Dec 15, 2020 Today is a significant day for the men and women of the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing at Minot Air Force Base. It’s the day when both wings will be presented with the 2019 Omaha Trophy, a prestigious trophy recognizing the two wings for outstanding support to U.S. Strategic Command’s strategic deterrence mission. The Minot AFB bomb wing is being honored with the Strategic Bomber Omaha Trophy and the Minot AFB missile wing is being honored with the intercontinental ballistic missile Omaha Trophy. Minot AFB is the only dual wing nuclear-capable base in the Department of Defense. The bomb wing has B-52 bombers and the missile wing operates, maintains and secures Minuteman III ICBMs in the Minot missile field.
