i note the suicide, you had some three south korean stars all in their 20s, mind you, who died by suicide within weeks of each other this year. what s to blame behind all of this? what s going on? reporter: it is never just one thing, of course. and it is unfair to just blame the k pop industry itself, because there are strict and rigid standards for the entertainers and entertainment industry folks all over the world. one of the problems in south korea, i think is that suicide itself is a big issue. suicide is the leading cause of death for south koreans this their teens and 20s. and south korea leads the industrialized world when it comes to the suicide rate. so while we are rightly focusing on the tragic deaths of these k pop idols themselves, suicide themselves is something that is a reckoning point for south
