The Republican Executive Committee of Lamar County elected Ray Null as the new county chairman on Jan. 7, 2021. Null served 27 years in the military, retiring in 2000. He moved to Lamar County in 2015 and was a candidate for county judge in the Republican Primary in 2017. Null believes that Lamar County is an outstanding place to live and has outstanding potential. Along with the Lamar County precinct chairmen, Null wishes to build and strengthen the Republican Party of Lamar County to become a stronger community and a stronger influence within the State of Texas.
