Manx Telecom extends sponsorship of Parish Walk to 2024 Tue, 11 May 2021 As final preparations for this year’s Manx Telecom Parish Walk get underway, Manx Telecom has announced it is extending its sponsorship of the event for a further three years until 2024. The biggest mass participation community sporting event on the Isle of Man, the Manx Telecom Parish Walk is a highlight of the calendar both for professional and amateur race walkers.  Following the cancellation of the 2020 event, interest in the 2021 Manx Telecom Parish Walk has been high. Organisers are expecting a record number of entries for the walk which takes place on Saturday 19th June.

The contents were gathered from staff and donated by businesses to make up 12 hampers, which were handed out to: Women’s Aid, Graih house, Rebecca House Children’s Hospice, Live at Home, Isle listen, A Little Piece of Hope, Hospice Isle of Man, Victim Support, The Children’s Centre and Bowel Cancer Isle of Man. The idea originated a few years ago with a hamper being donated to Women’s Aid, before turning into an ’annual event’ with preparations beginning in early September to put together baskets for multiple charities.
