12-year-old airlifted to hospital following skiing accident

BUCKLAND A 12-year-old boy was transported by LifeFlight Friday after being injured at Berkshire East Mountain Resort in Charlemont shortly before 4 p.m.
The Buckland Fire Department cleared a landing zone for the helicopter at Mohawk Trail Regional School. The Charlemont Emergency Services Ambulance transported the young boy from the ski mountain to the landing zone. The Colrain Volunteer Ambulance Association also assisted at the landing zone.
