The Black Gold School Division (BGSD) will not make a decision about whether to pilot the new K-6 draft curriculum before feedback is received from a working group of teachers from within the district.
During the April 14 regular board meeting, Superintendent Bill Romanchuk emphasized the importance of taking a thorough approach to a potential pilot, that would include feedback from those with the most curriculum experience.

Following the release of the draft curriculum earlier in April, the division put a call out to teachers to form a working group that would go through the document thoroughly. The feedback would then be used to help determine whether to pilot the curriculum. Sixty teachers put their names forward and 30 were chosen.
