so actually self-destructive behaviors or destructive behaviors in general are seen as cool. a little observation i have had. whenever you watch a movie, when somebody is destroying something, it s always in slow motion. but whenever they are putting something together, it s usually sped up. no one is interested in producing or creating things. they love tearing things down because it s somehow majestic and romantic. that s part of being cool. it s actually a progressive idea of subverting traditional beliefs and values. but not replacing them with anything of real worth. all right. you write in your book besides buying this book what makes a person truly cool you include having a leather jacket a couple decades ago. i have a leather jacket and still think i m cool. i m curious, why is success not particularly cool? it seems like a lot of young people they enjoy i mean, the failure seems to be a little bit cooler in some sort of twisted way. you know what it is? we ve demonized e
