me call up do holcom the trauma surgeon here at memorial herrman. the doctor is the chief of the division of acute care surgery at university of next health medical center and the principle physician leading the transition team today. dr. holcom. good afternoon, everyone. i would reiterate what randy said, this transition which as we discussed in some detail yesterday, transfers are always a little shaky. it went flawlessly. the team prepared her well. the aircraft landed and loaded up and landed here in houston, helicopters in and did great. we were very concerned about that, actually, and we are happy it went as well as it did, a real testament to the team from tucson, the crew that accompanied her and got her safely into the trauma icu and we have done a complete assessment and had a good hand
i thought, obviously, that was the strangest thing. we were down there in washington today. it s just one of many strange things that have happened and surreal to watch. knowing the history of the two of them. knowing how much, you know, all the things that president obama has said about donald trump, all the things donald trump has said about barack obama. but i am consistently impressed over the course of eight years to the extent to which barack obama is committed to preserving democratic norms in this country. his handling of this meeting, and we can talk about trump s handling of it too, but the president for a moment, a real testament to how much he cares and takes seriously the motion that the transfer of power should not just be peaceful, but should be smooth and i think he genuinely means it. a lot of things about donald trump he doesn t like, but he s now the president-elect and he feels that everyone should be rooting for donald trump s success. hats off to president oba
