It was a call that shocked Rob Bounds to his very core.
On December 31, 2020 his cousin Emma Bounds, feeling overwhelmed and alone, took her own life.
The beautiful 37 year old, who was a former CQ mine worker, was described as the “life of the party”. Former CQ mine worker Emma Bounds tragically took her own life on December 31, 2020. Now her cousin Rob Bounds is cycling 500km in her honour to raise money and awareness for suicide prevention.
“She was very bubbly … had a lot going for her,” Mr Bounds said.
Now the East Mackay mine operator wants to transform his grief into something positive by helping others.
