There is good news on the Covid-19 front in Ottawa County. Our death total is now up to 73 deaths, up only one from last week. Also, there were only a total of eight additional cases in the county in the same time frame.
The incidence of the virus is considerably lower here than in the rest of Ohio, over 20% lower. The Ottawa County Health Department is moving forward with distributing the vaccine.

Brandon Fitt of Real Living Morgan Realty Group has received his Ohio Real Estate Brokers License, continuing a family tradition while celebrating his 10th anniversary in the real estate industry. Fitt has continued his training as part of an ongoing commitment to serve his clients professionally and expertly, the real estate industry and the community at large.
Real estate is more than just a business for Fitt. It is a family legacy, he said.
“Raised in Port Clinton, I saw my grandparents, Helen and Bob McConnell, serve the area through real estate sales for many years,” said Fitt, a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Journalism. He is a father of two boys, and he and his wife, Dawn, are very invested in the community.

With a great deal of volunteer help, barn quilts are popping up all around Ottawa County this winter. One of the latest to appear, thanks to prolific artist Rhonda Biedlingermaier of Oak Harbor, is her “Sunbonnet Sue” barn quilt which was attached to Norma Kihlken’s barn at 1450 S. Danbury Road in Danbury Township last weekend. (Photo by D’Arcy Patrick Egan)
