I am Karlyn Bowman is a great pleasure for myself and my cohost to welcome all of you and there was cspan artist to this afternoons event to celebrate the publication of henry olsens new book the working class republican Ronald Reagan and the return of bluecollar conservatism. Henry is a senior fellow at the ethics of Publics Health policy center a former colleague and a member in Good Standing of the election watch team. Henry arrived at aia in 2006 and was soon bonded over politics and especially what was then a somewhat obscured demographics with what they call some college, people with a technical vocational or Community College education. This group was large. About one third of voters and had a near perfect track record of voting for the winner in president ial elections.
