(READYVILLE, TN) The historic Readyville Mill was destroyed by the early Saturday (4/1/2023) morning tornado that touched-down at the Rutherford-Cannon County line.
It was constructed in 1812 by Colonel Charles Ready. The water-powered grist mill burned during the Civil War, and was rebuilt in the 1870s.
After a dream-driven three-year renovation in 2009 as a popular restaurant. That business closed again earlier this year.

Rutherford County Mayor Joe Carr has reached out to Gov. Bill Lee to request a state of emergency declaration after a tornado "wiped out" Readyville early Saturday morning, officials said.
