Four Norfolk and Suffolk businesses in England are celebrating contract wins worth a total of £500 000 for Vattenfall’s Norfolk Vanguard and Norfolk Boreas offshore wind farm projects.
Developer Vattenfall is calling on the expertise of specialist companies in the region to continue early work for its wind farms that will generate green electricity 30 miles off the north Norfolk coast, England.
Norfolk-based HexCam, Ordtek and East Point Geo, and Suffolk-based Miles Drainage are the latest companies in a growing list of contractors in the region working onshore and offshore on the two projects. The latest contracts will support a total of 13 jobs and create at least two new roles.
Siemens to supply Blue GIS switchgear to DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia 2 min read
A subsidiary of the largest industrial conglomerate in Europe Siemens AG – Siemens Ukraine – for the first time in Ukraine will supply the blue GIS switchgear to PJSC DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia. This is the first in Ukraine and only the second delivery to European countries of the blue GIS switchgear for the modernization of the equipment of VSP Mine Office named after Heroes of Space of PJSC DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia, Siemens Ukraine reported on the website on Tuesday.
Prior to this, the blue GIS equipment was only used in Norway, given the requirements for non-toxicity and environmental neutrality of the equipment used in its power system.

The load on thermal power generation in the heating season 2020/2021 was on average twice as high as in the same period last year, which was caused by untimely withdrawal from repairs of nuclear power units and increased consumption, DTEK Energy s press service has said.
According to the company s press release, DTEK s thermal power plants (TPPs) generated 12.6 billion kWh of electricity for the period from October 2020 to February 25, 2021, of which almost 1 billion kWh was generated in addition to the planned schedule following the orders of Ukrenergo.

Masdar, parent company Mubadala Investment Company, and DTEK, one of Ukraine’s largest private power producers, have signed a strategic agreement to explore potential clean energy investments in Ukraine.
The announcement was made following an official visit by His Excellency Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, to Masdar City, a sustainable urban development in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Faris Al Mazrui, Head of Mubadala’s investment programme in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Maxim Timchenko, Chief Executive Officer of DTEK, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a ceremony at Masdar City.
