As the pandemic cleared calendars, Rüfüs Du Sol extended a desert retreat during which developed ideas for the music that would become their latest album.

Festival organizers The Do Lab announced today (Mar. 1) that the longstanding California festival, which takes place annually on Memorial Day weekend, will join the ranks of events like Coachella, Ultra Music Festival and Movement in cancelling for 2021.
The announcement follows a challenging year for festival promoters, particularly independent festival promoters like The Do Lab. Started in 2005 in Los Angeles, the company is operated by Josh, Jesse and Dede Flemming. The brothers faced backlash last March when they announced the cancellation of Lightning In a Bottle 2020 with a statement saying they would not be able to offer ticket refunds,
