Rutherford County, TN—Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) seeks to hire 30 individuals to assist with filling positions for the County’s new Public Health/Safety buildings to be opened over the next year. The department has options for uncertified recruits as well as certified firefighters looking to make a lateral move.

(MURFREESBORO) Rutherford County Fire-Rescue had some unusual calls Wednesday as storms passed through the area. Roots on a tree in front of a Franklin Road home were struck by lightning. The bolt tore open part of the earth and the high voltage electric charge stormed through the roots and jumped to the wiring where damage was done to electronic devices inside the home.

(SMYRNA, TN) A massive home fire around 10:30AM Tuesday morning (7/12/2022) brought units from Rutherford County Fire Rescue along with assistance from the Smyrna Fire Department to Libby Street.
